When Fashion is Art: Anna Sui Tees

Fabu designer Anna Sui is offering another limited edition tee shirt line. This time she has collaborated with 16 brilliant up and coming artistes to create funky graphic tees that I am drooling over. Check them out at Anna Sui to see brief biographies and sample tees from line.

Haute Couture Me!

I know I have majorly blog sucked the past few days. See I am swamped at work with two campaigns launching this week and very little help...so I have not been able to take my usual blogging breaks. I am working on two pieces one on celeb fashion labels and another on grungey chic celeb looks, which I hope to have finished by Friday. Other than that I will do my best to update tomorrow and Thursday but it may be a little bit slower than usual. Thanks dudettes!

Inspired: Belle and Boo

Another fabulous artist I have happened upon in my everlasting Etsy search is Belle and Boo. This fabu artist from Manchester creates prints from original illustrations that are digitally colored. The result is a series of fanciful and funny screen prints on 100% cotton archival paper that the artist will ship to you matted and framed.

Art and Ghosts

Last night I spent some time on the fabu site, Etsy.com, to find some fun art work for my new apartment. I came across "Art and Ghost", an artist from Manchester who does fabulously magical prints inspired by fairy tales, mythology, and nightmares. They are really quite eery. See more of her work here.

"A Rich Fantasy Life"- I am in Love

My dear little brother always gives me the most thoughtful gifts. Seriously there is probably no one else who knows me better than he does. This Christmas he surprised me as usual and bought me a subscription to Art News.

Okay. I'll admit it. My name is Hilary and I am addicted to Contemporary Art. It is a painful defect to have as once again this collecting hobby falls into an ever growing category of "Things I Will Never Afford".

Excuse the tangent and back to the point.

Art News brings the gallery hunting joy to my own apartment every month and you cannot beat that. (Well, that's not true...there is nothing better than sipping wine at an art opening aside from a fresh pair of CLs). This month I was delighted to see one of my favorite contemporary livin artists on the cover, Ryan McGinness. His clean abstract prints are breathtakingly modern and whimiscal at the same time.

I can only dream...
