I Love Shooooes

Some may say that I have a slight problem when it comes to shoes. I simply say that it's nice to feel passionate about something. Some may think it is sad to be passionate about shoes. I say it is actually quite fabulous. As you know, I'm on the hunt for wedding kicks. I know I always write about how obsessed I am with wearing Christian Loubs on my wedding day but I think every girl should dream of such delights.

Something blue perhaps?
How about ruffles?

Who can say no to sparkles?

While none of these beauties are in my future, I think I may have stumbled on an equally gorgeous pair that are narrowly in the margin of my price range. During my last minute Christmas shopping yesterday, I sauntered ever so casually by the Barney's shoe department and spotted a pair of perfect CL's that were more than half off. That's the absolute beauty of the Barney's Winter Sale. I decided to sleep on it before taking action but I have not been able to get them off of my mind. So after M and I manage to dig ourselves out of the 2 feet of snow that this Nor'Easter has dumped on Charlestown, I'll be making my way over to check yet another "difficult" task off of my wedding to-do list. I promise to post pictures!

Something Blue?

The hunt for my wedding day kicks begins now. I will need them for my first fitting in February (gasp) and I'm incredibly beyond ridiculously picky when it comes to footwear. I dream of Loubs for the wedding day but alas I'm being realistic (blah).

Fall 2007 Trend: Cap Toe Platforms

Another fabu fall shoe trend dancing across all the fall mags is the bi-colored cap toe platforms. They pull together a wide slouchy trouser for day and sharpen a skinny pencil skirt for night.

Trend Watch F/W 2007: Shoe Booties

First debuting SS07, I was intially hesitant about shoe booties (although I love the name) especially those with an Oxfordish quality. Yet after seeing them storming across runways I have come to enjoy this trend, especially when paired with chunky short knits and opaque tights. Here are some looks from the cheap to the chic.

Fall Collection 2007: Patently Perfect

I have been a patent girl since my tiny black patent Mary Janes that my mom used to dress me in when I was little. Since then my patent purchases have taken a slightly edgier feel and are rarely paired with ruffly white ankle socks. Much like this entire year, the patent trend will be big in Fall 2007. If only I could give in to my long lasting addiction.

Fall Collection 2007: Net-A-Porter Fast Forward to Fall

Net-A-Porter has compiled a Must Have list for Fall Fashion. I am absolutely in love with most items mentioned. Especially the black biker boot and chunky gray knits. Still I have found a few more drool worthy outfits that I would kill to flaunt for Fall 2007.

Christian Louboutin: Fall Style

Ah, Christian Louboutin. I truly believe that I can die a happy lady if I ever get the chance to call these my own. I know I continue to drone on and on about CLs but I can't help it! There is not harm in dreaming about the Fall collection...right?

Polyvore Chic

I have wasted the last hour on my fave new fabu site. Polyvore is a great tool for seeing how things look next to each other. For example, you can use it to try out clothes or furniture, even from different stores.

What A Difference $630 Makes!

Every girl dreams about her first pair of Christian Louboutin's. Since those red soles are far away in my future, I have to continually search for the next knock off.

Can you tell the difference between the $650 real deal and the $19.80 fakes?

Well, of course you fabu readers can. But those naive souls who are oblivious to the CL trademark red sole, will ooh and ahh all the same!

If by Christian Louboutin, you mean Oh Deer.

When I graduated from college the only gift I asked for was a pair of Christian Louboutins. Surprisingly enough (or not so much), I received a pair of Nine West low square toed pumps from my parents as they claimed these horrors to be more realistic for a new grad and more affordable for the doting parents.

Fair enough. Yet I never cease to decree that while the aforementioned witch shoes are gathering dust in my closet (still in the box I may add), those CL's would have been put to good use. Sadly, due to my meager salary (sigh), I cannot afford to buy Louboutins on my own.

Oh Deer! Shoes to the rescue. These knock offs are so true to Louboutins that they even have the signature red sole on each and every pair. And they are much nicer to the bank accounts.
