To Boot or Not to Boot.

I want these. I have been looking for some tall motorcycle-ish boots for this fall/winter. To pair with grey knit tights and sweater dresses. Mmm.

Still I do not know if I can justify spending this much on Steve Maddens. Thoughts?

I love love love the Nordstrom's Half Yearly Sale though and pried my eyes away from excel to peruse the goods.

Ruffles Are Not Just for Pirates

I love the ruffle blouse look for summer work and play. I thought this post was fitting seeing as Pirates of the Carribean came out this weekend and we all know that pirates love to wear their ruffles. LiLo rocks it perfectly as she seeks paparazzi attention at the Ivy.

$101 Outfit Challenge

These days it is hard to find one apparel item under $101, let alone a whole outfit. The other day at Barney's Coop while I pondered buying a $101 cotton t-shirt, after which I swiftly kicked myself for even considering that purchase, I thought about putting together a complete outfit for that same price.

Chiffon Tunic
$17.80

Nordstrom
Roxy 'Brooks' Skinny Stretch Jeans
$39.50

Encinitas Crisscross Skimmer
$38.00

Forever 21
Carved Pattern Bangle

Voila! Alright, I'm slightly over by 10 cents, but who's counting?

Cute as a Button

I often explore the juniors section online at various department stores, as I have found that they have slightly lower cost versions of the looks I am scouting. Nordstroms has an especially good selection. The one hang up I often have is sizing. I am an Adult Small, so I typically will go for Juniors Medium unless the piece is particularly blousey.

Only in Chicago would 50 Degrees Feel like Summer

I woke up this morning with a smile across my face. Seriously, this is a rare
occurrence as I normally cannot even summon a smirk until I have an extra hot soy latte from Starbucks (how cliche??).

Yet there is nothing like a weather report hinting at the end of a windy and cold winter to jump start a girl's day. Despite the fact that the sun is shining (I almost forgot what sun was), the air still has a chill to it and it will barely reach 60 degrees today. But that has not stopped me from donning the most summery outfit I could find after sifting through my storage closet.

Wearing today: Blue gray jersey trapeze dress (Nordstroms) with a cropped beige pea coat (Urban Outfitters) and light gold flats (SM)

Sure...there is a slight chance of a fripple or two (he he) but in my book it is well worth it.
