Two very different LBD looks at the In Style event last week. SMG as usual is looking fabu. Her funky shirt dress is a hot take on the classic LBD. Elisha on the other hand looks frumpy with a dress which cuts off her legs and square toed pumps that add to that squatness as well. Oh and did I mentioned the shoulder pads with feathery fur attached?
I have made the drive between Chicago and Boston several times in the past few years mostly during school breaks. But this is the first time that it is for real. For serious. If you will. I am officially moving to Boston after two amazing years in Chicago it is time to do this. Aside from having an apartment with the boy for the past month and recently getting the job of my dream...it has not felt real until this point. So while sitting in a hotel room with my mom (she rocks and agreed to drive with me) in Syracuse I am kind of in a weird limbo zone. So I apologize for not updating as frequently as I normally do over the next few days as I/we get settled. XO.

I think that Ashley Olsen is definitely the more fashionable of the Olsen twins. She really dresses with a couture edge every day. I think that her outfit is positively flawless with the yellow velvet bubble skirt paired with the studded leather belt. Yet I am undecided on her wrapped up heels. Thoughts?
I found these fabu kicks at Cusp and voila I have one trend down...several more to go. These are ridiculously comfortable and I adore the faux snakeskin print. Plus they were pretty inexpensive at just $105!
Neiman Marcus group opened Cusp to cater to the younger demographic. The stores are smaller and hipper with an edgy Anthropologie-esque design. While there is no Neiman's branding in the store, shoppers can still use Neiman's cards and expect to receive the same level of customer service.
Many of the designers carried at Cusp are congruent with NM such as DVF, Theory and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Yet Cusp also carries smaller indie labels as well as high end make-up and campy home decor items. After drooling throughout the store for an hour I settled on a Shu Umera eye lash curler and DiorShow mascara, as that is why I had initially come to the mall, yet also snagged an adorable pair of flats for just $105! I must admit I have been fairly disappointed with the fashion choices of SJP lately. Now I realize that perhaps she is not as fashionable as her screen counterpart Carrie and perhaps she doesn't even care about fashion as much as Carrie once breathed it. Still, I find this hard to believe as she has recently launched a clothing line and currently has two fragrances. I was particularly disappointed by black and brown zig zag tube dress she wore to the Covet launch. Not only is the dress blah but her hair? I mean really. I loved the quirkiness of Carrie's style as well as her free flowing hair whether it was curly or straight it was rarely pulled so severely back from her face. Oh how I miss those days of SATC. 
Many of my friends are beyond creeped out by the new commercial for SJP's "Covet" Perfume. Personally, I adore it. While it is a bit campy it has a neat haute couture edge that is really appealing to me. What do you think?

Airport fashion is often a debate across fashion mags/blogs/istas alike. With such inexpensive airfare more and more people are traveling daily. Still it is a tricky arena to dress for as one wants to be comfortable but also cute, if possible. Especially for celebs who are frequently targeted by the razzi as they exit LAX.
Meghan Fox has not mastered the airport look; donning a too short shirt for leggings and tall tan uggs (in the summer in LA??). Jessical Alba on the other hand looks brilliant opting for a low maintenance but trendy look and topping it off with a fantastic cream newsboy cap.
